North Bend State Park, in West Virginia, is named for the horseshoe curve of the North Fork of the Hughes River. The park offers a multitude of recreational facilities in a beautiful pastoral setting. The fishing streams, lake, hiking trails, abundant wildlife and excellent overnight accommodations, lodge and cabins, and lodge dining room are some of the features of this year-round park. You’ll find true hospitality at this popular state park
The dining room at North Bend is exceptional and features theme evenings, Sunday buffets, and Chef Ingel’s famous desserts.
North Bend also features the 72 mile North Bend Rail Trail, which is designed for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. The rail trail runs along the old B & O Railroad bed from Parkersburg, WV to Wolf Summit, near Clarksburg, WV.

Valentine’s Weekend
February 12 – 14, 2009 - Sweetheart Weekend Package
Check in by 4 p.m. on Friday and take a Tunnel (of Love) Hike at 5:15 p.m., time for dinner on your own and enjoy Love Songs by Joann Peterson at 7:30 p.m. A Make-Your-Own Ice Cream Sunday is part of Friday food and fun. Enjoy Saturday breakfast at North Bend Dining Room and then around 10:30 a.m. there are local area tours planned; details on shuttle or car pooling available by calling the park. Saturday afternoon includes crafts, bingo. The Sweetheart Buffet features hand carved Prime Rib, chef carved roast turkey and Chef Ingel’s Fabulous Dessert Bar. The Sweetheart Dance features live music of “Stepping Stones.” Price for two nights lodging, February 12 and 13 at North Bend Lodge, entertainment Friday evening, Saturday breakfast and Sweetheart dinner, and the Sweetheart dance is $290 for two people. Dinner and dance only on Saturday, February 13, $100 per couple.
