How the package works
Arrive at North Bend with your fishing buddy and enjoy a great deal of fishing on the 300 acre North Bend Lake. Check in at North Bend State Park then swing by Hess Fish and Tackle to check out the new items, redeem your coupon, and find the fishing patterns on the lake. After an overnight rest, start the day with breakfast in the North Bend Dining room and head back to the lake for some more great fishing. Need to recharge your trolling motor battery? No problem we have outlets adjacent to the parking lot just for that.

We really like Fred’s private stash for bass fishing and Jones or Crane Baits for musky fishing. All of these are quality hand made lures that are favorites of local fishermen.

About Fred Hess
Hess is an accomplished bass angler. He began fishing the section of the North Fork of the Hughes River that was flooded to from North Bend Lake over twenty years ago. He knows the lake as well as or better than anyone, combine that with his knowledge of fishing and interest in seeing fishermen be successful, therefore returning to the lake and his shop, he’s a local fishermen who can and will tell you about the good fishing holes.

Prickett’s Fort State Park is a 1 hour and 30 minute drive from North Bend and is located near Fairmont, WV

Box lunches include your choice of a sandwich, fresh fruit, chips, cookie, and beverage.

* In summer season, North Bend requires a two night rental on weekends. However, if you decide to spend more than one night, a 20% discount off the room rate is extended for each additional night.

As one of West Virginia's most unique living history museums, Prickett’s Fort invites visitors to relive the pioneering spirit of Captain Jacob Prickett and his family. Prickett’s Fort State Park uses a living history style of interpretation to preserve, document and exhibit the past. It features an 18th century recreation of the original Prickett’s Fort which provided a place of refuge from Indian attack. In addition, guests enjoy visiting the original 19th century Job Prickett House, Prickett Cemetery, Visitor Center, and Museum Gift Shop. Prickett’s Fort is open seven days a week through Labor Day, then open Wednesday through Sunday.

“Voyage” Information
Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park is a 35 minute drive from North Bend and located in Parkersburg, WV.

Package price is for two; this is not a per person price. Reservations and payment are required in advance of arrival.

This package not valid with special evening events or Brunch with Margaret event or Mansion by Candlelight. Transportation to Parkersburg is not included..

Blennerhassett Island is closed on Monday's, except for Memorial Day and Labor Day holidays observed on a Monday. After Labor Day the island is open Thursday - Sundays. The museum, located in Parkersburg, not on the island is open daily, except for Mondays. The Frontier and Voyage Packages makes a great two night getaway for just $198.00 when combined.

“Great Rates Falling”

Like West Virginia autumn leaves, already great getaway prices are falling at North Bend in October. Forested terrain rewards visitors with great fall colors. North Bend Rail Trail is nearby for hiking and bike riding. And the 305-acre lake is quiet and a perfect setting to enjoy a fall travel getaway.

When calling for reservations at North Bend Lodge for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night(s) in October, please mention ‘great rates’ to get a great room rate of $59.

Standard room rate is $70 per night, applicable taxes apply, no minimum nights, applies to Monday – Thursday rental nights in October 2010.

Christmas in the Country
