Come out for a weekend of pickin’ and singin’. There will be two days of live bands and craft vendors.  At the North Bend State Park Amphitheater. Lou Maiuri Squaredancing

Lou Maiuri was teaching dance long before Dancing with the Stars debuted or Travolta and Swayze made dance popular again. Maiuri is a dance instructor of traditional Appalachian dance and modern line dancing. He has won many awards in competition, including three national championships and is the director and founder of Appalachian Country Cloggers. No previous dance experience (or rhythm) necessary. Come join us for tradition – let’s dance! No fees.

An evening program to teach, explain and explore the mysteries of ‘rock.’ The next morning we ‘roll’ out for a hike to learn about geology, topography and more. Ken Ashton with the West Virginia Geological Survey presents this program series. You can attend evening or morning activities or both.

Live raptors, including hawks and owls are part of this educational program. “Snakes of West Virginia” is an interpretative presentation featuring herpetologist Jim Fregonara of the WV Division of Natural Resources. The 7:30 p.m. program on August 28 at North Bend lodge conference room,  takes a closer look into the amazing world of snakes.  Several of snakes found in West Virginia  are part of evening as we learn about these fascinating and sometimes misunderstood creatures that are very important to our ecosystem.  All ages welcome.  The program is open to the public without charge or admission.  Cameras are permitted.  Contact, 304-643-2931 for more information.
